En la Lista de las aves de España de SEO/BirdLife (2022) figura en una misma entrada con el petrel aligrande, con entre 1 y 15 citas homologadas por su Comité de Rarezas hasta junio de 2022.GBIF has no records of it in Spain from 2020 to 2024 (data from Observation.org, eBird, iNaturalist and ICO). In SEO/BirdLife's List of the Birds of Spain (2022) it shares an entry with the Great-winged Petrel, with between 1 and 15 records accepted by its Rarities Committee up to June 2022.

No hay ningún registro suyo en España de 2020 a 2024 en los datos de Observation.org, eBird, iNaturalist y el ICO publicados en GBIF [1, 2].
Con estos datos no se puede medir su rareza: no tiene registros en GBIF, pero ni el Comité ni SEO la dan por rara, así que puede que GBIF no case su nombre. Por eso conserva la que ya tenía en BirdPedy, legendaria, aunque no podamos respaldarla con datos.
GBIF has no records of it in Spain from 2020 to 2024 (data from Observation.org, eBird, iNaturalist and ICO) [1, 2].
Its rarity cannot be measured with these data: it has no records in GBIF, but neither the Committee nor SEO considers it rare, so GBIF may not be matching its name. So it keeps the rarity it already had in BirdPedy, legendary, although we cannot back it with data.
