BirdPedy es una app gratuita hecha por José Manuel Marín, que es el responsable de tus datos. Para cualquier cosa sobre ellos, escribe aBirdPedy is a free app made by José Manuel Marín, who is responsible for your data. For anything about it, write to birdpedy@gmail.com.

Puedes usar parte de la app sin cuenta. La cuenta hace falta, por ejemplo, para registrar avistamientos, publicar o tener amigos.You can use part of the app without an account. An account is needed, for example, to record sightings, post or have friends.

Lo que ven otros usuariosWhat other users can see

BirdPedy es una comunidad: esto es público dentro de la app, y lo puede ver cualquiera que la use.BirdPedy is a community: the following is public within the app and can be seen by anyone who uses it.

• Tu perfil: nombre de usuario, icono, nivel, plumas, trofeos, aves descubiertas, títulos y marcos, y tu género si lo indicas (solo se usa para los títulos en femenino o masculino).Your profile: username, icon, level, feathers, trophies, birds discovered, titles and frames, and your gender if you provide it (it is only used to show titles in the feminine or masculine form).
• Tus avistamientos: especie, número de ejemplares, fecha, hora, el punto exacto donde los registras y cuántos metros de error tenía el GPS en ese momento. Se ven en el mapa durante una semana.Your sightings: species, number of birds, date, time, the exact point where you record them and how many metres of error the GPS had at that moment. They are shown on the map for one week.
• Tus publicaciones y “me gusta” en el muro, y los comentarios que escribieras antes de la versión 3.5, cuando se quitaron.Your posts and likes on the feed, and any comments you wrote before version 3.5, when comments were removed.
• Tus rutas: el trazado GPS de una salida y las aves que viste. Si marcas una ruta como privada, no se muestra a otros usuarios en la app. Una salida en la que no anotas ninguna ave se guarda privada.Your routes: the GPS track of an outing and the birds you saw. If you mark a route as private, it is not shown to other users in the app. An outing in which you record no birds is saved as private.
• Tus amistades.Your friends.
• Si tu cuenta es de organizador: los proyectos y actividades que publicas, con su foto, enlaces y ubicación. La app reduce la foto antes de subirla y le quita los datos que guarda la cámara, entre ellos el lugar donde se hizo.If yours is an organiser account: the projects and activities you publish, with their photo, links and location. The app resizes the photo before uploading it and removes the data saved by the camera, including where it was taken.

Ten cuidado con la ubicación de nidos y dormideros de especies sensibles: un avistamiento muestra el punto exacto.Be careful with the location of nests and roosts of sensitive species: a sighting shows the exact point.

Lo que solo ves túWhat only you can see

• Tu correo electrónico y, si entras con correo, tu contraseña. Los gestiona Firebase Authentication (Google); nunca se muestran a otros usuarios. La app guarda la contraseña cifrada en tu móvil para poder confirmar que eres tú al eliminar la cuenta.Your email address and, if you sign in with email, your password. They are handled by Firebase Authentication (Google) and never shown to other users. The app keeps the password encrypted on your phone so it can confirm it is you when you delete your account.
• Tu fecha de nacimiento, si la indicas en “Mis datos”. Es opcional y sirve para saber, en conjunto, qué edades usan BirdPedy: nunca se muestra a otros usuarios ni se usa para nada más. La quitas cuando quieras desde el mismo sitio.Your date of birth, if you enter it in “My data”. It is optional and is used to know, overall, which age groups use BirdPedy: it is never shown to other users or used for anything else. You can remove it at any time from the same place.
• Tu provincia, si la indicas en “Mis datos”. Es opcional y sirve para activarte los avisos de actividades de tu provincia, si no habías elegido ninguna, y para saber, en conjunto, en qué provincias se usa BirdPedy. Nunca se muestra a otros usuarios ni a los organizadores. La quitas cuando quieras desde el mismo sitio.Your province, if you enter it in “My data”. It is optional and is used to turn on alerts about activities in your province, if you had not chosen any, and to know, overall, in which provinces BirdPedy is used. It is never shown to other users or to organisers. You can remove it at any time from the same place.
• Tus viajes planificados.Your planned trips.
• Lo que marcas con “Me interesa”. El organizador ve cuántas personas lo han marcado, nunca quiénes.What you mark as “I'm interested”. The organiser sees how many people marked it, never who.
• Lo que reportas (avistamientos, usuarios y actividades), con el motivo y lo que escribas. La persona reportada no sabe quién ha sido; solo lo revisa el responsable de BirdPedy. Se borra al borrarse lo reportado o al eliminar tu cuenta.What you report (sightings, users and activities), with the reason and anything you write. The person reported does not know who it was; only BirdPedy's controller reviews it. It is deleted when the reported item is deleted or when you delete your account.
• Las personas que bloqueas. Quien está bloqueado no lo sabe.The people you block. Someone you block is not told.
• Si pides una cuenta de organizador: el nombre (tuyo o de la entidad), tipo, provincias, CIF o NIF y web, y el nombre y correo de la persona de contacto. Solo se usan para revisar la solicitud y gestionar la cuenta, solo los ve el responsable de BirdPedy y se borran al eliminar la cuenta. Si se rechaza, guardamos el motivo para que puedas corregirla. Si se aprueba, guardamos también cuándo avisaste por última vez a una provincia, para el límite de un aviso por semana.If you request an organiser account: the name (yours or the organisation's), type, provinces, tax ID and website, and the name and email of the contact person. Permisos del móvilPhone permissions

• Ubicación: para centrar el mapa donde estás, poner el punto de un avistamiento y grabar el recorrido de una salida. Durante una salida se sigue grabando con la pantalla apagada, siempre con una notificación visible, y se para al terminarla.Location: to centre the map where you are, set the point of a sighting and record the track of an outing. During an outing it keeps recording with the screen off, always with a visible notification, and stops when you finish.
• Micrófono: solo para dictar el nombre de un ave durante una salida. Lo transcribe el reconocimiento de voz de tu móvil; la app no graba ni guarda audio.Microphone: only to dictate a bird's name during an outing. Your phone's speech recognition transcribes it; the app does not record or store audio.
• Notificaciones: ave del día, misiones, recordatorios de actividades que te interesan y avisos de actividades en las provincias que elijas, que se gestionan en Ajustes; y los avisos sobre tu cuenta, que se pueden silenciar en los ajustes de notificaciones del móvil.Notifications: bird of the day, missions, reminders of activities you are interested in and alerts about activities in the provinces you choose, which you manage in Settings; and notices about your account, which you can silence in your phone's notification settings.

Estadísticas y erroresStatistics and errors

Si lo permites, la app envía a Google Analytics estadísticas de uso (qué pantallas se abren, si se conceden los permisos). Te lo pregunta la primera vez que la abres y lo cambias cuando quieras en Ajustes, en “Privacidad”; si no lo permites, no se envía nada. Además, cuando la app se cierra inesperadamente envía un informe de errores a Crashlytics. Ni unas ni otros llevan tu nombre, tu correo ni tu identificador de usuario, así que no se pueden relacionar con tu cuenta.If you allow it, the app sends usage statistics to Google Analytics (which screens are opened, whether permissions are granted). It asks you the first time you open it, and you can change it at any time in Settings, under “Privacy”; if you do not allow it, nothing is sent. NewsletterNewsletter

Solo si te suscribes, de una de dos formas: al crear la cuenta en la app (aceptarla entonces da 150 plumas en lugar de 5) o con el formulario de birdpedy.es, al que también lleva Ajustes. Se envía con MailerLite, que recibe tu correo y, si te suscribes desde la app, tu nombre de usuario. Te das de baja con el enlace que trae cada correo, y conservas las plumas.Only if you subscribe, in one of two ways: when creating your account in the app (accepting it then gives you 150 feathers instead of 5) or with the form on birdpedy.es, which Settings also links to. • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics y Crashlytics): Cuenta, datos de la app, fotos de proyectos, notificaciones, estadísticas de uso y errores.Account, app data, project photos, notifications, usage statistics and crash reports.
• Google Maps: Los mapas de la app.The maps in the app.
• eBird (Cornell Lab of Ornithology), iNaturalist, MINKA (ICM-CSIC) y GBIF: Observaciones cercanas, rarezas del muro y datos del planificador. Reciben el punto del mapa que consultas, sin ningún dato tuyo. A eBird se le pregunta a través del servidor de BirdPedy, así que tampoco recibe la dirección de tu conexión.Nearby observations, feed rarities and planner data. They receive the map point you look up, with no data about you. eBird is queried through BirdPedy's server, so it does not receive your connection's address either.
• MailerLite: La newsletter, solo si te suscribes: tu correo y, desde la app, tu nombre de usuario.The newsletter, only if you subscribe: your email and, from the app, your username.

Google puede guardar datos en servidores fuera de la Unión Europea; está adherida al Marco de Privacidad de Datos UE-EE. UU., que la Comisión Europea reconoce como protección adecuada.Google may store data on servers outside the European Union; it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as adequate protection.

Si escribes a soporte desde la app, el correo incluye tu nombre de usuario, tu identificador, la versión de la app y el modelo de móvil, para poder ayudarte sin preguntarte. Puedes borrarlos antes de enviarlo.If you contact support from the app, the email includes your username, your ID, the app version and your phone model, so we can help without asking. Tus datos se guardan mientras tengas la cuenta. Puedes borrar cada avistamiento, publicación o ruta cuando quieras, yYour data is kept while you have an account. You can delete any sighting, post or route whenever you want, and eliminar la cuenta enteradelete your whole account desde la app o por correo: se borra todo, también tu suscripción a la newsletter.from the app or by email: everything is erased, including your newsletter subscription.

Tus derechosYour rights

Puedes pedir acceso a tus datos, corregirlos, borrarlos, llevártelos, limitar su uso u oponerte a él escribiendo aYou can ask to access, correct, delete or take away your data, or to restrict or object to its use, by writing to birdpedy@gmail.com. Respondemos en un mes como máximo. Si no estás conforme, puedes reclamar ante la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (We reply within one month at most. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Edad mínimaMinimum age

Para crear una cuenta hay que tener al menos 14 años, la edad a partir de la cual la ley española permite consentir el tratamiento de los propios datos.You must be at least 14 to create an account, the age from which Spanish law allows you to consent to the processing of your own data.

birdpedy.es usa Google Analytics y Metricool para contar visitas y saber qué páginas se leen. Los dos guardan cookies en tu navegador, y solo se cargan si las aceptas en el aviso de cookies; puedes cambiar la elección en “Cookies”, al pie de cada página. La elección se guarda en tu navegador, sin cookies. Lo único que puedes dejar en la web es tu correo en el formulario de la newsletter.birdpedy.es uses Google Analytics and Metricool to count visits and see which pages are read. Both store cookies in your browser, and they only load if you accept them in the cookie notice; you can change your choice under “Cookies” at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser, without cookies. The only thing you can leave on the website is your email in the newsletter form.
